guest info: getting there | map | faqs | rentals

Ski Ability and fitness level:
Guests need to be strong intermediate skiers. Our guides are able to offer powder skiing tips to guests needing a bit of help. A visit to Monashee Powder will usually entail skiing both open bowls and steep tree runs. Powder skis make skiing deep snow much easier for any skier; however, you should be capable of skiing black diamond runs. We reserve the right to restrict unskilled skiers from participating. No refunds will be available for these guests
Clothing and Equipment TO BRING:
•Casual clothes and slippers for the lodge.
•A bathing suit for wearing in the hot tub.
•Ski goggles, snow boots and normal ski clothes that are suitable for all conditions and temperatures.
•Ski Boots - we recommend that you take them on the airplane with you as carry-on luggage if you can.
•Powder skis if you own them, otherwise you can rent ours.
•We provide ski poles for guests who rent skis.
•A small thermos for hot drinks on the cat, we supply water bottles.
•Wear your ski jacket, boots and gloves on the bus; this should be adequate for the trip in the snowcat also.
•A small backpack for extra mitts, goggles etc. which you can leave in the cat.
Snow Conditions at MPS
Monashee Powder Snowcats terrain is located on the western edge of the Monashee Mountains. This is the first rise in elevation after the coast Mountains. As a result, we receive over 60 feet of snow a year. Most of the time the air temperature is -5 to -15 Celcius. Sometimes in December and January the temperatures will fall to -20 to -30 Celcius for a few days.
Please accept the fact that we cannot control the weather, and that no refunds or rain checks are given for bad weather.
