Don and Mary Norman.
Hi Carolyn and Tom,
Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful 4 days at Monashee Powder Snowcats. What a perfect way to celebrate Mary's birthday! The lodging, food, terrain and conditions all exceeded our expectations. We were especially impressed with your friendly, helpful staff of young people. Speaking of staff, we were particularly impressed with lead guide Karl. However, tell him I have filed a written complaint about his stale jokes.

Dave and Karen.
Mark / Carolyn
You may have noticed that we did not do our normal (I know, should say exceptional!) NYE ski trip this year. It is very dry here in Alberta and we have not skied in a couple of weeks. I was reading Ski Canada this morning at breakfast and Monashee Powder kept coming up. One article even talked about getting as much as 5cm per hour at times in BC. You may remember the best day of my life, Mark, when you estimated 10cm per hour. Still have the picture of you out guiding the cat!
Very much miss the thrill of skiing at Monashee this winter. And miss the people too. It is a very special feeling that I cannot get anywhere else.
One truth in life (certainly my life) is you cannot do it all! This year, in two weeks, we leave for Austria. We are going to the Lech/Zurs area for a week of skiing. Taking Barry Sanders (he was on the NYE trip the last two years) and 4 other people. It seems to be getting pounded with snow lately as the powder alert on my phone keeps popping up. Anywhere from 10 to 50cm a day for the last while. Should be a great adventure.
Just thought you may want to know that we have not forgotten you and the very special times (people and skiing) we have had at Monashee.
Hope to catch up soon.

Dominique and I are now back in Montreal. We would like to thank you and your staff for the wonderful 3 days we had at the lodge. Special thanks to Mark and Rusty (Simon) for the great trails. We felt safe and that things were under control at all times. As advertized, food was great. And the views fabulous. And the snow, fantastic. This was my 21st ski trip (France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and most large North American resorts) and this one ranks way up there. I'd say top 2.
Thanks again for everything.

Hi Tom & Carolyn,This has been a great building project working in beautiful mountainous surroundings. We've had no major delays. We have enjoyed comfortable lodging and well-prepared meals with the bonus of being already on site for work sure made it an enjoyable three months of construction.
Can't wait to come skiing this winter.

Hi Tom & Carolyn,Thank you again to you and your staff for being so hospitable while we were with you over new years! A special thanks goes out to Dave for being the best guide any of us have ever experienced. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to work with. Dear Carolyn, Tom and all of the Monashee Powder Snowcats team:Dave and I would like to thank all of you for yet another great ski vacation. As with all of our visits to Monashee Powder Snowcats in the past - we had a wonderful time. We really appreciate all of the efforts – big and little - that all of you at MPS go to, to create a great experience for us. From the bus ride to the in-room morning coffee to the wonderful food – you create an entire ski experience that leaves us planning our return trip on the way out.
Of course you are fortunate to have wonderfully varied terrain and terrific snow and your great guides never fail to lead exciting, fun and safe days of skiing but it is the efforts of every one of your staff, the lodge staff, the guides and you the Morgans that really make MPS something special.Karen and Dave.
Thanks very much. See you next year.

Monashee is the best Cat skiing operation yet for this powder nut. The snow conditions were perfect, but for me it was the variety of the runs. You have it all, rollers, pillows, steep glades, bowls, open glades, tight glades, enchanted forest, and long runs etc… As they say Epic! Thank you Monashee Powder.Stephane Gauvin.

I just wanted to say thanks again for an excellent four days. You run a first class operation where safety and fun are always the two top priorities. Please pass on my thanks to Gary for going above and beyond the call of duty to get Ross and me to the airport on time on the Thursday night. Freon and his team of John & Christie were excellent. We had a lot of fun with the people in our Cat. I hope the rest of the winter goes well for MPA and I look forward to seeing you all next year.Ian McDonald.

Hi Carolyn,We had a fabulous time skiing at your place. The snow was amazing, the accommodations extremely comfortable, the food delectable, and the staff were second to none! We plan on being back.
In regards to dates, how long will you hold the 2010 dates for us? Is March 1 - 4, 2010 available? We might aim for two cats next year. Let me know when you need to know and Darius and I will start talking to our group ASAP. Thanks!Omar Ahmad.

Laura and Peter Dobrowolski.
Hi Carolyn,Just wanted to say thank you from Peter and myself for an amazing cat skiing experience. Looking back at the pictures, it is hard to believe we were there...you have a little piece of heaven on earth in that mountain range! We miss it already. We especially appreciated your staff, and in particular our guide, Mark, whose vast knowledge and expertise of the terrain made each run memorable. I lost count how many times we found ourselves saying "that was the best run of my life!" We look forward to another visit soon!

Carolyn and Tom,I must thank you again for another wonderful time at your fine location. It was great to see all the staff again, and to meet and ski with another group of your interesting guests. Your terrain is so fine, and all the staff, from the cooks, the guides, to the staff that accompanied us when there were seats in our cat. Every one of them was cordial and fun-loving. It was great to see Michelle again. And of course we were incredibly lucky with our snow, every day was better than the previous, with the last day, Thursday, January 31 being absolutely one the best days of my life, head deep, white smoke, perfect runs.
I must pay special thanks to Alexi, our tail guide, who was totally great, fun-loving, understanding, flexible, and a fine skier. Peter was with us also, and he was very friendly and helpful. Of course our leader in the storm, Lee, was just the best, he is so good at being firm in his rules, flexible when appropriate, builder of confidence in the mountain’s safety and educating about its dangers, friendly, very knowledgeable, a real person, clear in his instructions, a master at matching guests’ abilities and desires with challenging and totally satisfying runs. I told him he was like a symphony conductor, matching all the facets and bringing out the best in us. So thanks especially to him. I look forward hopefully to many years of runs with Lee.
So thanks again, and see you soon.Greg Booth.

Tom and Carolyn,I recently watched the World of Skiing TV show that showcased your operation. If I am not mistaken the Head and the TV crew were coming in as we were going out in December of this year. I thought that the show did a good job of portraying what your mountain has to offer. It really made me want to go back and enjoy the fine dining, your great hospitality and champagne powder!
All the best and look forward to seeing you again in the Monashees.Byron Bolton, President CEO Westwinn Group.

Tom & Carolyn,I wanted to thank you again for another (my second) outstanding trip. As before I felt the guiding was just outstanding, & much more "user friendly" (at least as a snowboarder) than 2 heli weeks I have been on in the past. I was especially impressed how quickly you & your crew tracked down that guy from the other group & got him back safely. Karl appears to know that area like his back yard.
For my part I would also like to pass on special thanks to Alex for digging me out of a tree well on the last day which just seemed to keep getting deeper. There was no question I was not getting out of there on my own. I promised him I'd pass on the pix but never got his e-mail, so you will find them attached.
Also, the food last year was fine but even a whole lot better this year; Bernie did a great job.Mark Saroyan.
See you all next year & thanks again..................

Good evening Carolyn,Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much I (and our whole group) enjoyed our trip. I thought that the entire operation was a class act with a great crew of staff that made each of us feel very welcome every minute of the day. To be included in Murray's ongoing birthday celebration and the live entertainment by Darrin was a great way to spend the last evening.
The skiing, food and service was awesome. I'm already praising your "resort" to everyone who will listen.
Please pass on my thanks to each of your staff, Mark, Wade, Dill, Scott, Michelle, Dave, Penny, Tommy, Fiona, Carmen, 'Shell and of course , yourself for making my trip so memorable. Looking forward to a return visit hopefully next year.John Frisch.

Carolyn and Tom,I'm back home safe and sound. In the rush to pack and get on the road, I somehow missed saying good-bye and thanks. Your hospitality was amazing! I got some very nice, blue sky, senic pow shots on the last day. I'll forward them once I sort out some computer issues.

Hi Carolyn and Tom,I just wanted to send a note to say thanks again for the great adventure we had at Monashee Powder Dec 7-9. Our entire group is still smiling and sharing stories of all the fun. Everyone who has seen the photos taken on the trip is extremely impressed. Everything that your website says about the area, staff and accommodations is true. We have started into discussions already about when we will return. I hope it will be sooner than later. Until then thanks again.
