Guides and Staff
Brodie St. Julian - Chief Guide
Born and raised on BC powder, Brodie spends his winters exploring the mountains on skis. A passionate people person Brodie is looking forward to sharing his enthusiasm for the sport and finding great lines to ski. When the snow melts you can find Brodie riding his mountain bike or woodworking near his home in Golden.
John Dutton - Lead Guide
John is originally from Vancouver Island and after graduating from Royal Roads University in Victoria he lived all over the mountainous regions of BC, Alberta and New Zealand; raft guiding, whitewater kayaking, and skiing. John started here as an unpaid practicum for a week in 2007 and is now an ACMG full ski guide and supervisor. In the summer months, John runs his own paddleboard and kayak rental business at the Prestige Marina in his hometown of Nelson, BC.
Kristina Metzlaff
Kristina grew up in Calgary, AB and her very early days on skis were at Fortress Mountain. She started skiing in the backcountry at 19, and decided on a guiding career at 28. I first came to MPS 'to help out' for a week and began a permanent fixture. Throughout her 20's Kristina was nomadic, combining work with travel and exploring. She called Golden, BC home for a long time until relocating to Revelstoke, BC in 2012. Now with her partner Greg, they have 3 step kids, 5 chickens and run a small urban farm in the summer.
